Run for Clean Air

We are not planning to hold the Run for Clean Air in 2023. Stay tuned for more information.

We want to thank all of our partners, sponsors, volunteers, and runners over the years for making it possible to hold the Run for Clean Air for so long. We hope we’ll be able to hold the Run again in the near future.

A special thanks to our long-term sponsors:

We had to unexpectedly cancel the 2022 Run for Clean Air due to course issues, read more about that here.

The Run for Clean Air is one of the region’s longest-running charity races and its largest Earth Day event. It has grown to host thousands of registrants, become a certified green event, and continues to innovate in a new virtual landscape during this global pandemic. The Run is a celebration of sustainable and healthy neighborhoods, clean air, and improvements in the region’s overall environmental health. Year after year, sponsors, volunteers, runners, walkers, and their families choose to celebrate Earth Day with Clean Air Council.

Clean Air Council hosted its first ever Run for Clean Air in 1982. The event attracted 100 participants running 5 miles along Forbidden Drive in Wissahickon Valley Park to support the environment. Now 40 years later, the Run has grown into one of the region’s longest-running charity races and its largest Earth Day celebration.

Clean Air Council is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. Tax exemption # 23-1683461
